Calculation of the bearing capacity of orthotropic reinforced concrete slabs using limit equilibrium method of resistance to concentrated loads

Abstract

In reinforced concrete design, slabs are commonly analyzed under uniformly distributed loads; however, in practice, slabs are also subjected to concentrated loads. This paper introduces a method for calculating the load-carrying capacity of reinforced concrete slabs under concentrated loading using the limit equilibrium method.
