Construction technology in the future: Trends, challenges and potential applications

Abstract

This paper presents an overview of future construction technology trends, including concrete 3D printing, smart materials, construction robots, artificial intelligence (AI), IoT-integrated building information modeling (BIM), and sustainable construction technology. The analysis is conducted to assess the potential for practical application, technical, policy, and resource challenges. The paper also proposes a technology transformation roadmap for the Vietnamese constr uction industry in the period 2025-2045.
