Construction solutions for repairing concrete defects in columns and walls
Abstract
In the construction of reinforced concrete structures, surface defects in columns and walls are common issues that can affect both the aesthetics and performance of a building. This paper presents practical construction solutions for repairing various types of concrete defects in columns and walls. The proposed methods include the selection and application of suitable repair mortars, such as polymer-modified cementitious mortar and non-shrink grout, along with detailed construction procedures for specific defect types. The study emphasizes the importance of surface preparation, proper bonding techniques, and finishing processes to ensure technical performance and visual uniformity. These solutions are intended to enhance repair efficiency, quality control, and long-term durability of structural elements in civil construction.
