Abstract

The Low Altitude Economy (LAE) has emerged as a new development paradigm, driven by the application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), intelligent sensors, and digital platforms across sectors, including construction. In Vietnam, the integration of advanced technologies into LAE-supported construction management remains at an early stage and has not been fully exploited. This study aims to investigate the potential application of advanced technologies, including UAVs, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and digital twins, in smart construction management within the context of the Low Altitude Economy.
The research methodology includes a thorough literature review, an expert survey, and an analysis of practical implementation in selected construction projects in Vietnam. The findings show that LAE-related technologies greatly improve construction monitoring, progress control, quality management, and occupational safety, while enabling timely, well-informed decision-making. Based on these results, a practical application framework for smart construction management tailored to the Vietnamese context is proposed. This framework aims to support digital transformation and encourage sustainable development in the construction industry.
