Investing in the development of smart building projects in hanoi under the impact of BIM and ai in the context of digital transformation

Abstract

The Ministry of Construction issued a plan to implement the digital transformation project in construction, management, and exploitation of construction infrastructure in Decision No. 369/QD-BXD dated March 19, 2026. The construction industry in Vietnam in general, and Hanoi in particular, is gradually undergoing comprehensive reforms in management, investment, and operation towards a smart, modern, sustainable, and efficient direction. To implement this decision, Hanoi is gradually transforming digitally by applying advanced technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve investment efficiency and develop green and smart construction projects. This article analyzes the role of BIM and AI in the investment and development process of smart construction projects. It also contributes to optimizing design, reducing costs, controlling progress, and improving quality in the investment and development of smart urban construction projects in Hanoi.
