Barriers to digital transformation in construction supply chains: A Delphi study
Abstract
This study is carried out to identify barriers and assess their impacts on digital transformation in construction supply chains. A Delphi study with four phases including setting up the panel, exploring the barriers, reaching an understanding, and quantifying the impact is performed, with data collected from 24 experts in Vietnam. Thirty-one specific barriers belonging to six different groups have been identified. These six groups include strategy, technology, human resources, finance, stakeholders, and data security and privacy. Furthermore, the five groups namely strategy, technology, human resources, finance, and stakeholders generally have high impacts while the remaining group (i.e. data security and privacy) have moderate impacts on digital transformation.
