Application of BIM in military construction projects: Current status

Abstract

BIM has increasingly affirmed its role as a core tool for enhancing design quality, optimizing construction processes, and improving lifecycle management efficiency. In the field of defense construction, the adoption of BIM is an inevitable trend and a strategic solution contributing to the modernization of military infrastructure. However, in practice, the level of BIM implementation in defense projects remains limited. This paper analyzes the current status, identifies key challenges, and proposes solution groups to promote effective BIM deployment in alignment with the specific requirements of defense construction in the current context.
