Current Status of Community-Based Tourism in Selected Craft Villages in Phuc Sen Commune, Quang Hoa District, Cao Bang Province

Abstract

Traditional craft villages among ethnic groups in Vietnam are cultural and ethnic heritage sites. They also serve as a vital resource for the development of community-based tourism (CBT). This article examines the provision of tourism services in selected craft villages in Phuc Sen commune, Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province: Pac Rang blacksmithing village, Quoc Dan paper-making craft village, and Phia Thap incense-making village. It emphasizes that not every craft village is suitable for offering CBT services. The selection should consider the characteristics of the craft, the level of community development, and local conditions.
