Impact of High-tech Agriculture on Household Economy in Xuan Khe Commune, Ly Nhan District, Ha Nam Province

Abstract

Developing high-tech agriculture is our Party and State’s major policy nowadays to transform traditional farming methods into modern farming methods based on science and technology; thereby creating a breakthrough in productivity, quality, efficiency, and sustainability for Vietnamese agriculture. Based on field research in Trung Chau village, Xuan Khe commune, Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam province in April 2023, the article explores the impact of high-tech agriculture on the household economy in different aspects: changing awareness and thinking in agricultural production, expanding employment opportunities and increasing income, improving living standards and contributing to poverty reduction. On that basis, the article proposes some recommendations and solutions to develop this agricultural model and further improve the local household economy in the current context.
