Abstract

Mnong folk songs were formed and composed based on a society with a high sense of community and integrity, handed down from generation to generation and considered the common property of this ethnic group. Mnong folk songs have been born from their work life, answer to spiritual needs, and are practised in lullabies, religious songs, nursery rhymes, epics, and antiphonal love songs (M'pro, Tam Pot). Despite going through historical vicissitudes, the Mnong folk songs still maintain great vitality. These folk songs carry many cultural, historical, artistic, scientific, and educational values and intensely express the harmonious combination of life with art; their melody, rhythm, and lyrics are associated with the natural environment and production.
