Research overview on tourism anthropology in the world and in Vietnam

Abstract

Tourism is becoming a rapidly growing economy as well as a modern lifestyle in recent decades. As an academic discipline of cultural difference and adaptation, Anthropology has witnessed the long history of tourism development and its impacts on ethnic minority groups. However, anthropology of tourism became a research interest and a branch of anthropology not long ago. This article overviews the researches on tourism anthropology in the world and Vietnam. It thereby shows the issues that need to be concerned and further researched in the future.
