Impacts of the international and domestic contexts on the development of ethnic minority regions

Abstract

The rapid changes in all fields of the contemporary world have impacted largely many regions, countries, and ethnic groups, including Vietnam. This article examines some influences of international and national issues on the development of ethnic minority regions in Vietnam. Thereby, this article presents some policy solutions to promote and to take for granted the good opportunities and to minimize the limitation of the development of the ethnic minority regions in Vietnam. Beside enhancing and completing policies and on the basement of sciences and technology, this article recommends that local people should be empowered to participate in the policymaking and implementing processes.
