Communication in ethnic minority languages through some books and newspapers printed in Vietnam

Abstract

The article addresses the issue of communication in ethnic minority languages in several printed books and newspapers, focusing on examining the current situation of printed ethnic minority language teaching materials and textbooks. Communication in ethnic minority languages is one of the ways to help preserve ethnic minority cultural values and languages in Vietnam. In the process of preserving ethnic cultures, ethnic languages play a very important role, not only as a bridge for people to receive knowledge but also as a place to preserve the culture and identity of each ethnic group. In particular, in the context that the ethnic languages are increasingly being lost, even when ethnic minorities are illiterate or do not use their mother tongue, the roles of this type of book and newspaper are even more indispensable in ethnic language communication because they are to improve the quality of life in ethnic minority areas in Vietnam
