Abstract
Traditional beliefs of Dao people in the Vietnam-China border area as well as of Dao ethnicity in our country were formed in the history of the ethnic group and have played a great role in maintaining the rituals and festivals of this ethnicity. In particular, accompanying rituals and beliefs is the practice of other material and spiritual cultural elements such as musical instruments, dances, singing, worshiping poetry, decorative arts, food offerings, ceremonial clothes, worship pictures, etc. Through out the border areas, the traditional beliefs of the Dao have been declining, which requires practical solutions to preserve and protect their positive elements in the context of market economy development, globalization and integration.
