Changes in marriage of Co Ho people in Lam Dong province

Abstract

This article focuses on analyzing the changes in marriage of Co Ho people in Lam Dong province, including the following aspects: concept of marriage, marriage age, marriage rituals and customs. On the basis of the current situation, this article identifies a number of factors affecting changes in marriage, among which it emphasizes two main factors that are economic development and urbanization. The research results are the basis for the authors to analyze a number of issues and propose some solutions to preserve and promote the values and cultural identity in marriage of Co Ho people in Lam Dong province in particular and of ethnic minorities in Vietnam in general in the current context of sustainable development.
