Organizing structure of The Evangelical Church of Vietnam (the South) in Gia Lai province
Abstract
The Southern Evangelical Church of Vietnam has the commune-level network mainly in Southern provinces and cities and the Central Highland. This article focuses on Gia Lai province. The organizing structure of the Evangelical Church consists of the General Confederation (central level) and the Branch (commune level). Branches are the most crucial parts, particularly mature branches in local communities. However, a branch is not a sole, homogenous church. It is a collection of united divisional branches and groups. Branches and groups are continually developing to separate into new branches. This article also mentions features, roles, position and operating mechanism of components of branches, groups, and divisional branches and the relationships between these components and the General Confederation.
