Some Aspects of The Indian Government’s Attitudes and Policies towards Ethnicities.
Abstract
Due to the pressures of globalization and integration, global issues such as migration, cross-border and transnational ethnic relations, including among religious ethnic groups, have been occuring in a complex way that has great impacts on ethnic cohesion and national unification in many countries in the world. Ethnicities vary in each country and also embrace typical features of the country. Hence, each country has different attitudes and tactics to solve ethnic issues and ethnic policy implementation in the context of globalization and integration. This article first analyzes some aspects of government attitudes and policies towards ethnicities in India, which contains the most complicated and diverse ethnicites and ethnic relations in the world. Afterwards, we will list typical features, main trends of ethnic policies and ethnic issue solutions in this country.
