One model, many paths: Lessons learned from community tourism in A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province.
Abstract
This article compares four models of community tourism in A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province. The goal of this article is to point out five important factors which lead to the success and effectiveness of the Huong Danh model in comparison to the three other models. Although the Huong Danh model at the household scale has arisen recently, it has become a very popular community tourism model in the A Luoi region. This is due to its high interaction with customers and the use of communication tools in business operations along with the active business relationships with tourist companies. Put together, these factors provide diverse service activities and products.
