Some issues of social rumors through surveying ethnic groups in Ha Giang and Lang Son provinces.
Abstract
Vietnam is a multi-ethnic country with a diversity of cultures and social relations. Therefore, examining social rumors in order to understand ethnic groups’ feelings and expectations in their regions plays an important role in the country’s socio-economic development and the role of national solidarity in contributing to the enhancement of sustainable new development in the country. Based on the survey amongst 484 households within 11 ethnic groups in two provinces, Ha Giang and Lang Son, this article articulates some initial comments and opens up some future perspectives of research about social rumors in ethnic regions in our country.
