Participation of local people in the New Rural Program in terms of building public spaces.
Abstract
Building rural space in the New Rural Program is the issue which is of concern as the set of criteria for New Rural model is defined in order to modernize the rural areas. The face of rural areas has been changed noticeably as a result of the state people together doing principle. However, to make those changes happen, there have been many negotiations between stakeholders in building the new rural areas. To explore the participation of local people in building public spaces in Nhue village, Kim Chung commune, the author of this article uses the theory of daily politics and of reasonable choice to explain motivations for local people’s actions. Subsequently, their attitudes towards building public spaces in the New Rural Program will be revealed.
