Policies and the livelihood conditions of some ethnic groups in Vietnam
Abstract
During the recent past period, Vietnam has achieved hunger and poverty reduction, gradually improving the living standard of citizens. However, unstable livelihood and poverty are still emergent issues. Besides internal causes, the improvement of livelihood policies have led to the enhancement of ethnic enonomic condition and poverty reduction amongst ethnic groups in Vietnam. Although ethnic development policy system has been comprehensive and embraces all aspects of life in order to create essential changes in ethnic minority areas, there have been existing shortcomings. This article will facilitate further discussions on these issues through literature reviews and analyzing some specific cases.
