Public health service access and the changes in health care practices of the Ma Lieng people in Lam Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Bình province.

Abstract

Health care is one of the essential issues that maintain the existence and development of ethnic groups. Ethnic groups have built their own systems of knowledge of nature, environment so that to provide them experiences in health care and treatment. However, such knowledge is not adequate to sustain their good health care, which requires aids from medical achievements. This article initially examines public health care service access of the Ma Lieng, a subgroup of the Chut people in Lam Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province.
