Cultural relations between ethnic minorities and the Kinh have developed

promotion of cultural values among ethnic groups. Based on data collected through
ethnographic fieldwork, the article focuses on analysing the cultural relationship between
ethnic minorities and the Kinh, and the impact of this cultural relationship on change,
preservation, and promotion of the traditional culture of ethnic groups. The issues raised
include preserving and promoting ethnic and cultural values, and building national culture in
the Vietnam-China border area.
