Changes in Brau People’s Rong House in Kon Tum Province

Abstract
The traditional Rong house of Brau people in Kon Tum province is a unique
architectural and cultural site where religious and cultural activities take place, thus playing
a vital role in the cultural life of this ethnic group. Having undergone numerous relocations
and, at times, even destruction by fire, the Brau people’s Rong house no longer retains its
original ancient architecture. Meanwhile, the cultural significance of the Rong house has also
evolved. The article discusses the changes in the Brau people’s Rong house in Dak Me
village, Po Y commune, Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province, thereby highlighting issues
related to preserving the valuable traditions of the Rong house in the present context.
