From the Basis Becoming the Urgency and Vice Versa: Reconsideration of the Relationship of “Basic” and “Urgent” Questions of the Ethnicity of Some Countries in the World
Abstract
The writing analyzes the relationship of “basic” and “urgent” issues in research of ethnicity. At present, there are two popular trends in discussion of this relationship: adding up together and un-defining concretely what is basis and what is urgency or considering them as two completely different questions. This writing shows that on the one side, the “urgent” and “basic” issues have the important differences, especially in the scope of impact and requirement of policy to solve issues so that it is needed to define the differences of content of two issues in order to identify the appropriate ways of policy response. On the other side, these are two closely related issues as well, in many cases, they possibly overlap each other, meaning the “basic” issue also becomes the “urgent” one, and vice versa.
