Cultural-Religious Co-Ethnic Relationship: Network for Transnational Livelihood Activities of the Cham People in An Giang Province
Abstract
The Cham in An Giang - the representative group of community of Islamic Cham people in Southern Vietnam - have co-ethnic and co-religious relationship with the community of Cham people and community of Muslims in Southeast Asia, especially in Cambodia and Malaysia. Two these relationships are an advantage of Cham people in An Giang in cross/trans-national activities making their living. Owing to that, the Cham people in An Giang have not only condition for earning additional income to improve their life but also opportunity to increase quality of human resource of their community in the background of Renovation, regional and international integration.
