Some Aspects of Spiritual Conception and Implementation of Disease Treatment of Cong and Si La People in Lai Chau Province

Abstract

Both Cong and Si La are very small population ethnicities in Lai Chau province. These ethnicities still have maintained some folk conception and implementation of disease cure relating to universe around human beings, spirits, souls and ghosts. In the current background of renovation and international integration, besides the increasing attention on disease examination and treatment in public health stations, Cong and Si La people still have implemented some traditional disease cure rituals such as worships for disease cure, soul callings for sick people, and use of magics for disease cure.
