Abstract

This writing focuses on investigation into influences of climate change on agricultural practices of people in Ca Mau province and their experiences in adaptation to climate change. The fieldwork finding shows that during the five recent years, the change of dry and rain seasons has been a typical evidence of climate change. Facing this background, people have had to change their cultivation calendar, structure of crops, application of techniques of crop rotation and intercropping so as to increase productivity and diverse agricultural products. However, this adaptation mainly has had passive feature. Therefore, in order to response to climate change in a more effective way, it is needed to have an active and long-term coordination of farmers and managers.
