Some Issues of Land Tenure and Use of Cham People in Hau Sanh Village, Phuoc Huu Commune, Ninh Phuoc District, Ninh Thuan Province

Abstract

The writing deals with the land tenure and use of Cham people in Hau Sanh village, Phuoc Huu commune (Ninh Phuoc, Ninh Thuan) and their impacts on the family and social relationships of Cham people in this locality from 1975 to present. The positive impacts of land tenure and use of Cham people in Hau Sanh village are that the infrastructure of the village has developed rapidly, lives of the villagers gradually have improved and their knowledge of value of land has increased. However, there are a lot of arisen questions needed to be solved such as the disturbance of family and lineage relationships, the increase of contradictions in the community when land becomes a high valuable property. This writing focuses on some issues of the features of land tenure and use as well as their impacts on family and social relationshipsin the Cham community at present
