The Livelihood Activities of Ethnic Women in A Coastal Commune of Soc Trang Province under Impacts of Climate Change (Case Study of Vinh Hai Commune, Vinh Chau Town, Soc Trang Province)
Abstract
Climate change with negative factors over the past decade has caused negative impacts on the lives of people in the Mekong delta, especially on women in the remote and ethnic minority region. In response to those negative impacts, women in this region have applied and created different livelihood activities to sustain the lives of their individual families. This writing focuses on the study of livelihoods of Khmer and Kinh women in a coastal commune of Soc Trang province so as to raise questions and suggest policies for the managers of a typical area in Ca Mau peninsula.
