In the recent years, the higher education in Vietnam has had its change in many aspects such as the formation of multidisciplinary, multispecialistic universities, and new training forms, etc. Especially, many specialties rooting in the developed capitalist countries have been organized to train in the Vietnamese universities such as Politics, International Relations, Religion, Anthropology, etc. The formation of training organizations of Anthropology has broken through the traditional training organizational structure of Ethnology and History of Vietnamese universities. This writing does not aim to discuss about the similarities and differences of Ethnology and Anthropology but mainly to concentrate on the elements requiring the transformation from Ethnology to Anthropology in the aspects from aim, approach to research methods, objects, domain, etc.
