Abstract
Childbirth is considered an important stage in the human life cycle. Each
community has its own customs and rituals in childbirth that are expressed with its own
characteristics. Based on the results of field research on the Brau people in Dak Me village,
Po Y commune, Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province, the article clarifies the traditional
characteristics and changes in the Brau people's childbirth customs. On that basis, the author
suggests some solutions to improve the quality of population and health care of the Brau
community in the coming time from the approach of Ethnology/Anthropology research.
