Some Issues on Current Status of Hmong Protestant Communities Freely Immigrating to the Central Highland
Abstract
This article discusses the current situation of Hmong Protestants that are freely moving into the Central Highlands. Significant conclusions and recommendations are put forth to help solve the problems created by the Hmong Protestant free migration. Among all the ethnic minorities in Vietnam, the Hmong ethnic group has a truly outstanding characteristic of history, psychology and culture. However, the current situation of the Hmong free immigration from the mountainous areas of the Northern Vietnam to the Central Highlands has required timely and thorough action by the central and local governmental authorities to step in and resolve the socio-economic, cultural, environmental, religious sectors that are threatening national security.
