Impacts of the Labor Movement for the Seasonal Employment on the Current Family Life in Rural Areas

Abstract

Selecting the Trinh Xa village, Binh Luc district, Ha Nam province as the research site, this study focuses on the situation of the labor movement for the seasonal employment in recent years. It is found that the main reason for this situation is that a great number of the farmers’ agricultural land has been withdrawn for the development of urban and industrial areas. This article discusses the impacts of the labor movement for seasonal employment on the household income. Additionally, it shows the influences of shortcomings of the above-mentioned movement on the family relationship and the childrearing.
