This article investigates into the relation of the Thai customary law and the State law. It points out clearly that the Thai customary law and the State law have a close, interactional, and mutual supplemental relation which creates a harmony in regulating the human actions. In practice, the customary law in general, the Thai customary law in particular, have assisted the State law to manage better the ethnic societies according to their individual cultures.
