Cultural, Tourist Activities and Cultural Conservation in Sustainable Development among Ethnic Minorities in Vietnam

Abstract

This article addresses the practical situation of tourist activities in relation with conservating and bringing into play cultural values in the face of the demand of sustainable development of ethnic minority areas and suggests a number of current arising issues. Culture is not only the spiritual base of a society, motivation of socio-economic development but also the inherent power of a nation. Cultural heritage is a result of creative labors, struggle and construction of ethnic peoples and so the conservating, exploiting, enriching and bringing into play cultural values are responsibilities of current generations for the developmental future of country. It is impossible to exchange culture for development by any cost. The exploitation of cultural heritage to serve the tourist development is necessary not only in economic aspect but also in direct relation with development of ethnic cultures because of the demand of inherent development and exchange of ethnic cultures. Therefore, it is important to solve harmonious relation of conservation and development, tradition and change in cultural exchange.
