Lineage Cohesion Through the Vestige and Festival of Nguyen Xi Temple (Nghi Hop Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province)

Abstract

Based on the document of contributions into repairment of the vestige, organization of the festival together with other activities of the temple worshipping Nguyen Xi - a general who made great contributions into the history of country - of Nguyen Dinh lineage in Nghi Hop commune (Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province), this article indicates the role of vestige and festival for cohesion of lineage. The Nguyen Xi temple and its festival are the sentimental environment affecting deeply the feeling life, helping people trace their root, educating people in different generations for their traditions.
