Building of Local Officials - An Important Solution for Strengthening the Local Governments in the Central Highlands

Abstract

After 1975, especially since Doi moi, the Vietnamese Communist Party and the government have had an interest in increasing and building capacity of a number of local officials in the Central Highlands and have issued many policies in this field. Based on that, the Central Highlands provinces have not only promoted forms of training, professional training, management capacity, training of ethnic languages ​​for local officials, but also focused on grassroots planning. As a result, in 2010, despite some limitations, the building of local officials in the Central Highlands has led to some changes, strengthening the local political system, maintaining the national political security and the socio-economic development in the region
