Cultural and Natural Heritages - Endless Resources of Knowledge for Lifelong Learning in Vietnam
Abstract
The exploitation of heritage values through museums, relics and other such material and non-material heritage values in order to enhance knowledge and lifelong learning is not new to many countries in the world. For Vietnam, however, this issue has not received due attention and investment both in terms of strategic orientation and implementation approach. This paper is aimed at stressing that Vietnam has great potential in heritage as an effective instrument for lifelong learning. How have such potentials been used today and how should this be oriented for exploitation in the future to cater for lifelong learning objectives? Opportunities and challenges for the use of heritage for lifelong learning in Vietnam are discussed.
