Some Problems of the Process of Resettling the Dan Lai People in Mon Son Commune, Con Cuong District, Nghe An Province

Abstract

This article affirms a necessity of the resettlement for the Dan Lan people in Khe Khang area of Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An province belonging to the center of the Pu Mat Natural Park, which has the richest bio-diversity in Vietnam. However, during resettling the target Dan Lan people, there are many shortcomings such as the limited time spent doing fieldwork, resettlement programming, cultivated land allocation, infrastructure building, different projects for the welfare of the populations and for the specific economic development, and supporting the resettled people in cultivation and daily life. These shortcomings lead the resettled people to a much worse life; therefore, the resettlement project needs to be improved in order to better the livelihood of those who are resettled now and those who will be in the future.
