Ảnh hưởng của thủy điện Sơn La đến công tác tổ chức, quản lý và cố kết cộng đồng truyền thống của người Thái

This article presents different impacts of the Son La hydroelectric work on the social structure and cultural characters of the resettled Thai people. It shows that there are three following resettlement types in the Thai communities: 1) The entire village moves to a resettlement area; 2) The village moves into different resettlement areas; and 3) Many villages move to one resettlement area. Although the resettlement work has paid  attention to the maintenance of the resettled communities, there have been several problems: breaking up the traditional living space of the Thai people, introducing new challenges to the resettled Thai people when they try to live with their new neighbors in the resettlement areas. This fact has direct and great influences on stable and sustainable development in the resettled communities.
