Abstract
The author introduces the above-mentioned project with objectives, activities and results. The project used interdisciplinary approaches involving experts in different fields, such as anthropologists, economists, agronomists, and medical specialists. This project provided good methodological training in conducting research to many researchers from both Vietnam and Lao-PDR. Research data from the project findings was put forward together with recommendations in order to collectively address highland ethnic minorities’ food shortage in both countries.
