Analyzing Social Networks and Social Capital in the Rural Areas of Vietnam for Development

Abstract

This article examines the idea of family networks, kinship and village in rural areas and how these ideas contribute to positive cultural and socio-economic results. The article also looks into how social revolutions are established in rural areas and the benefits then shared with farmers. Furthermore, the article will discuss how social networks have formed the social capital for rural development, both in the past and in the current context of industrialization and modernization. The article concludes with a recommendation to examine the relationship between social network and social capital in order to stimulate ideas for different resources to contribute to the current development of rural areas.
