Choosing Ethnic Minority House Models to Build at “The Cultural Tourist Village” in Dong Mo Area

Abstract

The Cultural Tourist Village of the ethnic minorities in Vietnam is a big project, approved by the government, aiming to regenerate the cultural looks of ethnic groups in Vietnam in Dong Mo area, about 40 km far from Hanoi. This article examines the skills and experiences necessary to choose the model houses to build in this village. The administrators should have not only a thorough knowledge of drawing techniques, but also an anthropological background, an architectural background, and an honest sense of reality. According to the authors, after choosing the ethnic minority house models, construction workers from each ethnic group should be invited to construct the houses in Dong Mo area.
