A contribution to the ethnic identification of the Quy Chau community in Bao Lac, Cao Bang

Abstract

In this composition, the author tries to identify the Quy Chau ethnic community in Bao Lac, Cao Bang. According to the author, the Quy Chau community before 1979 was identified as a separate ethnic group called Quy Chau or Pu Na. But after the year 1979, this ethnic group was associated with a local group of the Nung people. Through the investigation of the origins, inhabitation histories, languages, cultures and clan consciences, the author states that this is a local group belonging to the Nung ethnic group - namely the Nung Quy Chau
