Abstract

The composition presents about the festival of Mang Hoa of the La Ha people in Lot village, It Ong commune, Thuan Chau district, Son La province. The festival is called in the ethnic people’s language as pang a nụn ban. This is the festival to pray for good farm outcomes of the La Ha people, which is associated with disease treatment for the local people. The festival is organised in the village, and the village’s witch doctor performs both roles of the ritual chief (for praying) and festival chief (dancing/singing and disease treatment).
