Disintegration in accessing land in Vietnam

Abstract

The article looks at the process of disintegration in accessing agricultural land use right among farmer families in the past two decades. The author holds that the disintegration in the access to agricultural land use right since late 1980s in rural Vietnam has led to a section of landless farmers. The situation of farmer households having no land for farming is closely linked with poverty and under-employment. To resolve the problem, an effective plan of action is needed to create employment for landless farmers
