The change of traditional ceremonies in two Dao people villages in Quang Ninh province (1994-2004)

Abstract

In this article, the change of traditional ceremonies of Dao Thanh Phan people in Dong Mung and Tan Lap villages is analysed in the relationship with the economic and socio-cultural factors. After the economic renovation (1986), the change has occurred quickly in these villages. However, the changing level depends on economical activities, ethnic components, geographic location and keen with the commodity economy development.
