Khmer ethnic group with the defense and the construction Vietnam nation

Abstract

With the historical and anthropological documentations, the author proves the great contribution of the Khmer people in Mekong delta in the resistance against French colonialist and the anti-American resistance war as well as the achievements in implementing the ethnic policies of the Communist Party and Vietnamese Government since 1975. The article affirms that Khmer people is one of the ethnic minority groups in Vietnam. In the past and at present, they have been united closely with Kinh people and other ethnic groups in construction and independence defense of Vietnam nation.
