The distribution of lineages in the coastal area of Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province

Abstract

The coastal area of Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province has a community closely related to the sea. The main economic activities of the 6 communes’ inhabitants are fishing and processing and exchanging sea products. All the villages and communes in the area are settlements of many lineages and these lineages have many branches. The long history and complexity of inhabitant sectors are shown through a great number of lineages which is an outstanding feature of this area.
